Early Intervention
At CHC Learning Center our Early Intervention Services focus on each child’s emerging skills in all areas of development. Each student’s unique needs are met through group and individual learning experiences and the use of adaptive equipment for play, mobility and communication.
The Enhanced Developmental Group provides a safe and nurturing environment where our youngest can thrive. This is accomplished through center-based group experience for children 0-2 years of age. A Special Education Teacher with the support of Educational Aides leads the group. Occupational, Physical, Speech Language Therapies are provided to students who qualify. In addition, there is nursing services are available to the classroom throughout the day.
The Early Intervention Program is a state wide program administered by and funded through the NYS Department of Health and the County Department of Health.
